Provides system-level oversight of the educational needs of students with SEN in mainstream and SPED schools. Oversees policies and measures to support students with SEN, provides thought leadership, expertise and support to raise capabilities of SPED schools and mainstream schools to support students with SEN. This includes ensuring the quality, accessibility and affordability of special education, developing policies, and setting standards for quality assurance in SPED schools; developing and implementing policies and specialised educational programs and services for students with SEN in mainstream schools, and developing school staff capacity to provide support and deliver effective intervention programmes.
